Leaks Reveal Google Home Mini Speaker, New Daydream VR Headset

Although, the reason we are talking about them today is because Google's App APK revealed an innovative Pixel 2 feature. The feature has always been tied to the Pixel 2 and was most recently seen on HTC U11, which was released earlier this year. It will arrive in "Just Black", "Clearly White", and "Kinda Blue", the latter of which should be taken literally, as it's more of a periwinkle.

According to Droid-Life, the Pixel 2 XL (not Pixel XL 2 as it has previously been referenced), will be available in two different color options. It also contains some information on the arrival of Active Edge for Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2. Google is holding its Pixel 2 event October 4th. There are four multi-color indicator LEDs at the center, similarly found on the Google Home. While Google has already added Shortcuts that allow users to set their own phrases to invoke Assistant commands, Routines will allow allows users to initiate multiple things with just a single command. This time around, however, the device is being made by LG. The official name so far is "Google Home Mini", simple and apt to what it actually is. The smart speaker will be available in Charcoal, Chalk and Coral colors. It doesn't look like the jersey-based cloth the company used previous year, but we'll get the final answer sometime in October. However, we are learning that the new Daydream View headset that will receive a bump in price to $100 (compared to the $80 that its predecessor was launched at).

Other new features confirmed in the code deep-dive include the ability to play "ambient noises" that will shut off automatically as you fall asleep and the ability to customise the Google search bar in Android with more colours and designs.
